Debbie Marie (Main) Smith, age 72, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on January 24, 1954, in the same city she called home the majority of her life, Debbie was the cherished daughter of the late Lois and Harold Main.
A proud graduate of Putnam City West High School, Class of 1972, Debbie carried the values and friendships she cultivated there throughout her life. Her roots in Oklahoma City were deep and enduring, as was her love for her family.
Debbie is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Joe Smith, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. The high school sweethearts married June 30, 1973, at St. John’s Methodist Church. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Tiffany Winborn and son-in-law Adam Winborn, along with their daughter Laney; and by her son Rhys Smith and daughter-in-law Rebecca Smith, along with their children Gavin and Gabi. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and joys.
It was in the quiet, personal moments that her true spirit shined brightest. “Ganny” was rarely seen without her signature jewelry (usually a ring on every finger), a reflection of her “personal flair" that she brought to every day. Some of her most cherished memories were anchored at the family lake trailer, where life revolved around the simple joy of bobber fishing waiting for dad to arrive late on Saturday nights so we could cram a day on the boat tubing and fishing before we packed up and headed home on Sunday. Whether she was settling in for an evening of Knots Landing or “The Monkees”, or packing the car for one of the legendary family vacations to Branson, she found her greatest happiness in the traditions that brought the family together. Later in life, she loved attending all of the grankiddos events from school plays, to dance competitions and later band concerts. These moments—the shared laughter, crazy antics and sometimes the quiet nights on the patio sharing “remember when” stories are something we will cherish and reflect on daily as we honor her beautiful life.
Debbie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May her legacy bring comfort to those who loved her most.
A Celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah, Oklahoma. A gathering will be held that day at the family home.
Arrangements are under care of Asa Smith Funeral Service of Harrah. Online condolences may be made at www.asasmith.net
