Earl Edsan
Hendrix
November 25, 1948 – May 22, 2026
Earl Edsan Hendrix, age 77, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Earl was born on November 25, 1948, in Brush, Colorado, to Jack and Earlene Morris Hendrix. He grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Crooked Oak High School, a class so close that they still meet monthly for lunch, something Earl really enjoyed. He then proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a missile radar technician. Following his military service, Earl worked for American Fidelity Assurance before beginning a career as a surveyor in the oil and gas industry. He later became a jet engine mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base, where he faithfully worked until his retirement in 2011.Thanks to a little encouragement from his mother, Earl met the love of his life, Sally Warner. The two were married in November of 1973 and built a life centered around faith, family, and love. Earl was a devoted member and music leader at Fellowship Bible Church, where he faithfully served for many years with a true servant’s heart. After retirement, Earl and Sally spent countless happy days trout fishing together — one of their greatest joys in life. They even celebrated anniversaries on the water, making treasured memories side by side. Earl also enjoyed woodworking and golfing, but nothing brought him more pride and happiness than his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Earl never met a stranger. He loved helping others, always willing to lend a hand or offer encouragement. He had a gift for storytelling, usually ending with one of his unforgettable jokes that could leave everyone laughing. His kindness, warmth, humor, and servant’s heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Earl is survived by his loving wife, Sally Hendrix; his children, Thomas Keith Hendrix, Jeffrey Dean Hendrix, and Kimberly Ann Lee; his grandchildren, Taylor Lee Brakbill and wife Laney, Sarah Margaret Peraza, Jeffrey Dean Hendrix Jr., Calvin Ray Hendrix, and Amber Nicole Hendrix; three great-grandchildren with one more precious baby on the way; and his brothers, Billy Jack Hendrix and wife Vicki, and Gary Dean Hendrix and wife Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Earlene Hendrix. Though Earl’s earthly journey has ended, the love, laughter, faith, and memories he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
