Gracie Mae Brzozowski, 90, of Harrah, passed Friday. January 16, 2026, with family by her side. Gracie was born October 22, 1935, in McLoud to John Peter and Ola Vie (Shreve) Scheidt. She was reared and educated in McLoud, attending local schools. She married Edward J Brzozowski on October 2, 1951, in Morrilton, Arkansas. The couple made their home in Harrah.

Gracie was a homemaker, making sure her husband and children wanted for nothing. She had a lifelong love affair with high school basketball. Having played in high school she enjoyed attending games throughout her life including all state finals whenever she could. Gracie was thrilled that her granddaughters played in three state championships and won one state title for Harrah. She was an excellent mother and cook. Gracie was a woman of deep Catholic faith and, in her younger years, devoted much time to serving the Church.

Survivors include a daughter Cindy Garrett; sons Jerome and wife Mary, Jeff and wife Tracy all of Harrah; grandchildren Eric Bishop, Paul Brzozowski and wife Guisela, Michael Brzozowski and wife Tavi, Chad Garrett, Anna Timberlake and husband James, Emily Treadwell and husband JJ, Ben Brzozowski and wife Cindy, Grace Brzozowski-Garrsion and husband Hunter Garrison, and Alison Brzozowski; many great and great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and all of her siblings.

A Wake will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church of Harrah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said 2:00 p.m. the following day. Burial will be the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Harrah.
