Larry Lloyd Cordes
May 30, 1948 – August 20, 2026
Larry Lloyd Cordes, 78, of Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born on May 30, 1948, in Princeton, Minnesota, to Lloyd Cordes and Bonna Belle Cordes. On April 18, 1970, he married the love of his life, Rhonda Elaine Ellington, in Princeton, Minnesota. Together, they built a life filled with family, hard work, laughter, friendship, and countless memories.
Larry was a hard-working man who spent much of his career behind the wheel of a semi truck. He took great pride in his work and in providing for the people he loved. After retiring, Larry and Rhonda made their home at Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma, where he embraced a slower pace of life and enjoyed the years they had together.
Retirement brought Larry many of the things he loved most. He enjoyed pontoon rides on the lake, cruising around in his golf cart, traveling on vacations with Rhonda and their friends, and taking great pride in his yard. He was also known for his incredible workshop—clean, organized, and kept with the same attention to detail he brought to everything he did.
But above all, Larry was a family man. His greatest pride was the family he and Rhonda created together. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Rhonda Cordes; daughter, Teana Cordes; sons, Butch Cordes (Larry Jr.) and Casey (Britany) Cordes; grandchildren, Christian Cordes, Samuel Cordes, Trevor Riska, Taylor Riska, Cegan Cordes, and Braxton Cordes; and great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Lincoln, Luke, Walker Grace, and Oakley Rae
He is also survived by his sisters, Diane Mattern, Susy Lorenzen, and Nancy Lemm.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Bonna Belle Cordes; his brother, Gary Cordes; and his sister, Judy Beer.
Larry leaves behind more than memories. He leaves behind a lifetime of love, lessons, stories, hard work, and the example of a man who loved his family deeply and took pride in the life he built.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his pride in his home and workshop, his love of the lake, his travels with Rhonda and friends, and most of all, for being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.
His greatest journey may have ended, but the love and memories he gave his family will carry on forever.
