Funeral Webcasting

Funeral webcasting, also called livestreaming, is a valuable option for those who are unable to attend a service in person. Whether it is due to distance, health concerns, or other reasons, webcasting allows family members and friends to celebrate the life of their loved one from the comfort of their own home.

Where Can I Watch Live-Streamed Services?

To view a live-streamed service, please visit the Life Stories section of our website and navigate to the online memorial page for the individual whose service you’d like to watch.

Please Note: If the family has opted to password protect the video, you must have the event code and password to view the service.

How Does it Work?

  • Your funeral director will arrange for webcasting to be set up.
  • The service is viewed from your loved one's individual life story page on Asa Smith’s website.
  • To watch the service online, the viewer must have access to a computer, tablet, or smart-phone.
  • The service can be publicly available or password protected so only those with the password and event code are able to view the service.
  • These services will be recorded and streamed live. In the event the service is interrupted at any time due to technical issues, the entire service will be uploaded and available to view later in the day.
  • Families receive a digital copy of the live-streamed video file.

How Much Does It Cost?

Asa Smith Funeral Service is proud to offer funeral webcasting services to the families we serve. While many funeral homes charge an additional fee for livestreaming, we include it with all chapel services free of charge.
