May 9, 1963 — September 5, 2025

Harrah

Charles Alan “Chip” Black, 62, of Harrah, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 5, 2025.

Born May 9, 1963, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Walter H. and Linda Jo (Shelton) Black, Chip’s family soon moved to Oklahoma City, where he grew up. He attended Oklahoma City public schools and began his wrestling career in grade school, later earning All-State honors during his time at Southeast High School, from which he graduated in 1981.

On January 30, 1993, Chip married Dana Dillingham in McLoud, Oklahoma. Together, they shared 32 years of love and memories.

Chip was a true entrepreneur with a diverse career. He worked in car sales, residential construction, and handyman services - with most of his work in lawn care and landscaping. Outside of work, Chip enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, golfing, snowboarding in Colorado, or riding his motorcycle. He was also an active member of Choctaw Road Baptist Church, where he served in the “Hunt for Him” ministry.

Above all, Chip’s greatest joy was his family. As a proud “PaPa,” his grandchildren were the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Chip will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his unwavering work ethic, and the deep love he shared with his family and friends.

Chip was preceded in death by a daughter, Nicole Black.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dana Black; parents, Walter and Linda Jo Black; sons, Dustin Miller and his wife, Trish Miller, and Cody Black and wife, Shawnda Black; daughters, Amber Wooten and husband, Josh Wooten, and Christen Bates and husband, Michael Bates; his brother, Chris Black and wife, Shelly Black; and a sister, Cindy Bowman and husband Jerry “Bo” Bowman; grandchildren, Mason Wooten, Ayden Wooten, Addylynn Wooten, Kambry Wooten, Sadiegh Wooten, Cameron Black, Amberly Tsoulogiannis, Carter Hansen, Sky Miller, Keagan Black, Karsyn Black, Silas Black; Eddie Pauley, and Alex Pauley; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
