McLoud

Christopher “Clayton” Ray, 27, of McLoud, Oklahoma, passed peacefully into his eternal home on September 23, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones. Clayton was born January 21, 1998, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Chris Ray and Kimberly Lehenbauer. McLoud was more than where he lived—it was the place he loved most and proudly called home.

Clayton’s journey through life was uniquely his own. Though he left school in the 11th grade, he carried with him invaluable lessons from life—lessons that shaped him into a courageous, determined, and compassionate man. He began his career working alongside his father-in-law, James, dedicating many years to leading crews in underground utility work. His dedication, skill, and leadership earned the respect of everyone who worked with him.

Adventure and curiosity ran through Clayton’s veins. He loved motorcycles and stunt riding, always pushing himself to master new skills and test his limits. He also loved side-by-side adventures, navigating trails with fearless excitement. Hunting and fishing with his father, Chris, brought him joy and a deep connection to the outdoors. These pursuits were more than hobbies—they were challenges he embraced, memories he created, and moments he shared with those he loved.

Clayton’s faith in God was steadfast and unwavering, guiding him through everything in life, especially during his illness. It gave him strength, comfort, and peace, inspiring everyone around him with the assurance that he was never walking alone. Through Fight For Clayton, his determination and resilience touched millions around the world, showing the power of courage and faith even in life’s greatest challenges.

Clayton cherished his family and friends, finding joy in their stories, laughter, and shared moments. Above all, his greatest love was his high school sweetheart and wife, Holly. He treasured every dance, every adventure on his Harley, and every moment spent together, always making her the center of his heart. Full of love, courage, and faith, he will be remembered for his fearless spirit, devotion to Holly, and the joy and laughter he brought us all.

He is survived by his loving wife, Holly Ray of McLoud, Oklahoma; father-in-law, James McCampbell and wife Kelly of McLoud, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Hailey McCampbell; father, Chris Ray and wife Rhea of Pink, Oklahoma; mother, Kimberly Young and husband Patrick of Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

He is also survived by his siblings: Baile Ray and fiancée Iesha Coley of Ada, Oklahoma; Makayla, Blake, and Clay Ray, all of Pink, Oklahoma; and Dalton and Maci Young of Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
