Leo Pete Fortelney, Sr. age 86, of Harrah, OK was born on October 23, 1928, in Harrah, OK. He was the son of Felix & Mary (Kuryanski) Fortelney. He left this life on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, in Midwest City, OK. Leo proudly served in the U. S. Army . He married Mary Ellen Manek on June 23, 1951, in Harrah, OK. Leo was a farmer and a journeyman electrician for Steciak's and OLG in Harrah for many years. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Leo enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and upholstery. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Fortelney, Harrah, OK; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Leo Fortelney, Jr. & Terry, Harrah, OK, Gary & Dawn Fortelney, Harrah, OK; daughter & son-in-law, Beverly & Ralph Winstead, Harrah, OK; sister, Helen Rudek, Harrah, OK; 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Chad, Nicholas, Cheryl, Justin 12 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Rosary and wake will be held at 6:45 PM, Sunday, December 7, 2014, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 8, 2014, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Catholic Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
