Today, we gather here to celebrate the life of a “True Angel”, Linda Joyce Dabney, a beloved wife and mother. Linda was 74 years old when she left us on Saturday July 19, 2025. Her journey on this earth was filled with love of family, friends and life in general. Linda was born June 4, 1951, in Shawnee to Floyd L. and Wanda S. (Collier) Stewart. She was reared and educated in Harrah, graduating in 1969. She married the love of her life Dewayne Dabney on August 21, 1970, at the Harrah First Baptist Church. Linda served as cafeteria manager in the Harrah school system for 33 years, where she touched the hearts and souls of many students. She retired in 2013 after 33 years of service.

Linda was “Bigger than life” and was an extra “Mom” to many. She loved Softball, baseball, and supporting her children and grandchildren’s activities. She was dearly loved by the children at the schools where she worked and was known to be very caring and always had a smile and a kind word.

She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Wanda Stewart of Harrah, OK. and a sister Sharon Stewart of Harrah, OK.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 55 years, Dewayne Dabney her two sons Kevin Dabney and Zachary Dabney, sister Shirley Stewart, grandchildren Jordan Hill, Hannah Dabney, Hunter Dabney, Ysabella Dabney; and a great-grandson Stephen Dewayne Hill as well as many honorary family members who she had a profound impact in their lives as well.

Friends may greet the family from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Asa Smith Funeral Home, In Harrah OK.

Private family and close friends of the family graveside services will be held the next day.
