Ronald Loyd Bourne, 90, of Arnett, Oklahoma, formerly of Harrah, passed away at his home with his family by his side. Ronald was born May 30, 1935, in Gotebo, to Loyd and Margaret Freeze Bourne. Ron married Sandra Gray on February 12, 1981, in Arkansas. He lived in various places and was also well traveled with his time in the Army, serving from 1952-1973. He was part of the 101st airborne, he was a Morse code operator. During his time with the Vietnam war, he was part of a 6-man team called the LRRPs (Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol). He retired as Chief Warrant Officer. He had many hobbies throughout his life, from raising pigs, training bird dogs to building homes. If he set his mind to something he, did it. He was a man of many trades.
Most of all Ronald loved the Lord and kept his faith strong all of his life by reading his bible daily.
Survivors include a daughter Rhonda and husband Bob Gardner, her children Jason Dickinson and husband J.R. Lambert; Kevin and wife Amanda Dickinson; son Michael and wife Deborah Bourne. Michael’s children Brandy Bourne, Tanner Bourne and Mykah and husband Alex Schaffer; Daughter Janis Levonitis, children Sandra and husband Mark Sanchez, William Levonitis, Geoffrey and wife Mandee Levonitis; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; Sisters Bonnie Dayton and Etta Mae Basinger, and brother R.W. Bourne; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Greta Ann Sivard and a grandson Dustin.
Friends may greet the family from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 23, at the funeral home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2025, at Asa Smith Funeral Service Chapel in Harrah. Burial will follow in the McLoud Cemetery, McLoud, Oklahoma.
