Rosalie Jorski Cook, 96, longtime resident of Harrah, passed away peacefully Monday, December 1, 2025, at her home.
Rosalie was born July 25, 1929, in Harrah, to Joseph F. and Anna (Michalski) Wyskup. She was raised and educated in Harrah, graduating from Harrah High School in 1947. She later attended secretarial school in Oklahoma City. She married Carl Jorski on April 29, 1950, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Rosalie and Carl worked and raised their children for several years in the mountains of Colorado before moving back to Oklahoma. After building a successful business in Oklahoma City and selling it, they moved to Harrah. The couple owned and operated the Jorski Grain Market in Harrah for many years. After Carl’s death in 1989, Rosalie married Otis Cook on May 5, 1995, also at St. Teresa’s.
Rosalie was a founding member of the St. Teresea Catholic Daughters of America Chapter, and a member of the St. Teresa of Avila Altar Society, the Harrah Historical Society, and the church choir. Rosalie enjoyed fishing, dancing, gardening, cooking, traveling, solving puzzles, and reading. She was also an avid Thunder fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son Jerry Jorski, brother Mike Wyskup, and sisters Sophia Burke, Mary Malaska, Nellie Oxford, Helen Hopcus and Frances Jennings.
Survivors include her children Andrew and wife Carla Jorski of Choctaw, Michael and wife Susan of Harrah, Matthew and wife Susan of Choctaw, Catherine and husband Robert Webster of Pryor, Janie and husband Mike Green of Broken Arrow; a sister Harriette Jorski of Muskogee; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family invites family and friends to visit and share memories between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the funeral home at 2039 N Tim Holt Drive. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am Thursday, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church at 1576 Tim Holt Drive; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30. Burial will follow in the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church Cemetery.
