Susie Manek Fillips, age 97, of Harrah, OK, was born April 1, 1918, in Harrah, OK. She was the daughter of Michael & Anna (Wengier) Manek. She left this life on Monday, May 25, 2015, in Harrah, OK. Susie married John C. Fillips, Sr. on September 9, 1939, in Chandler, OK. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John C. Fillips, Sr., son, John C. Fillips, Jr. and 7 brothers. Survivors include her sister, Mary Erbin, Harrah, OK; daughter-in-law, B. Kay Fillips, Bethany, OK; 3 grandchildren, Very Reverend John Filipowicz, Harrah, OK, Randy & Gayla Fillips, Harrah, OK, Shawna & Mike Gibson, Harrah, OK; 5 great-grandchildren, John Fillips, Rachael Gibson, Brandon Gibson, Billy Gibson, Alexis Smith; 1 great-great-grandchild, Marlee Gibson and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, May 29, 2015, at St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Jones, OK. Interment will follow at St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
