Terry Lynn Plumley

Terry Lynn Plumley was born to Carl and Arlene Plumley in Rome, NY on February 20th, 1958. Terry left this earth surrounded by love from 13 family members while listening to his classic rock station on July 24th, 2025.

Carl's contract work with the military moved the Plumley family to Norman, OK in 1964. Terry grew up down the road from Westwood Golf Course which started his lifelong obsession with the sport. He graduated from Norman High in 1976.

Terry married the love of his life, DiAnna Sue Jones, on August 10th, 1979. Terry would have done and did anything and everything for his wife. While he wanted kids immediately, he let DiAnna accomplish her goals then eventually she agreed to let him become a dad. They welcomed 3 girls, Ashley Nicole, Blythe Danielle and Tori Lynne. The girls would describe Terry as the best man and dad ever. The best example of what a dad and husband should be and the ultimate girl dad.

Terry was full of life, annoyingly happy and incredibly stubborn. While he always had multiple projects and hobbies (like golf and keeping his girls out of trouble) after retirement he added many more to his list: tinkering with his tractor and RV, landscaping the property and gardening with DiAnna. Most recently was wood-working and stained-glass art.

Terry never met a stranger and would talk to anyone who would listen, his bright crazy shirts and socks were the ultimate conversation starter. But most importantly retirement gave his priority for family, while always #1, the ability to grow a million times more. He beamed with pride having his whole family together, especially when his nephews, nieces and friends were in town.

Terry is welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Carl Plumley and Arlene Brown, and sister Samera "Sam" Venner.

His love and legacy will continue on with wife DiAnna; daughters Ashley, Blythe and husband Andrew, Tori and husband Trey; sisters Lisa and husband Ray, Dawn and husband Ron; along with five grandchildren: Ava Kai, Charlotte, Eloise "Elle," Wesley and Xavier. Family “Rocks”; Joe Robinson, Summer Radzanowski and husband Rob, Gayle and Richard Hull, his best friends Michael & Jim, plus many more nieces, nephews and friends that would take over two pages.

The family also wants to extend their thanks to the physicians and nursing staff at SSM MWC CCU for their unwavering support and care for Terry and the family during this very difficult time.

The viewing will be Wednesday July 30th, 2025, from 5pm to 7pm.

Terry's Celebration of Life will begin at 10:00AM Thursday, July 31st, 2025, at the Asa Smith Funeral Home in Harrah, OK. Graveside service will follow at Harrah Memory Lane Cemetery.

The family requests that everyone wears bright colors and/or fun socks for Terry and if you have a story or memory please share!
